GoDaddy Website Builder Review: Does GoDaddy have what you need? Godaddy secret coupons for the month. Learn more about GoDaddy website builder at:

Whether you’re creating a business website or a personal online space, GoDaddy offers a template to make your site stand out from the pack. Expert Ryan Bowman is here with a GoDaddy website builder review to explain the pros and cons of using GoDaddy to design a website from scratch.

GoDaddy offers a website builder for use with a domain name that you’ve already purchased, such as You begin the design process by choosing a template, of which there are hundreds. GoDaddy lets you filter templates by category, making it simple to narrow down the field and select a template that matches your brand.

As Ryan explains, the GoDaddy interface is clean and intuitive, and it’s easy to drag around the toolbar as you personalize your site with widgets. What’s more, if you choose to add photo or video elements to your website, you can also drag and drop those to the location of your choice.

One potential pitfall for users of the GoDaddy website builder, as Ryan points out, is that there is no built-in blog. Still, the platform does allow you to add a blog app. Also, using the layers function of the website builder may prove tricky for a novice. Despite the resulting learning curve, however, layering makes it possible to incorporate lots of multi-media elements and graphics within a site.

The GoDaddy website builder is an affordable choice that has been evolving for years. If you haven’t checked it out in a while, now is the time to give the platform a chance!

GoDaddy is a publicly traded Internet domain registrar and web hosting company.[4] As of January 2016, GoDaddy was said to have had more than 61 million domain names under management, making it the world’s largest ICANN-accredited registrar. It serves more than 13 million customers and employs more than 4,000 people.[5] The company is known for its celebrity spokespeople, Super Bowl ads and as being an online provider for small businesses. In addition to a postseason college football bowl game, it previously sponsored NASCAR. It has been involved in several controversies related to security and privacy.
In addition to domain registration and hosting, GoDaddy also sells e-business related software and services.

GoDaddy was founded by Bob Parsons. Prior to GoDaddy, Parsons sold his financial software services company, “Parsons Technology, Inc.” to Intuit. The sale provided him with several million dollars in the mid-1990s. As a result, Parsons decided to retire. Parsons came out of his retirement in 1997 to launch Jomax Technologies, which later became GoDaddy Group Inc. GoDaddy received a strategic investment from top venture capital funds, KKR, Silver Lake and Technology Crossover Ventures.[6]
Company name[edit]
In 1999, a group of employees at Jomax Technologies were brainstorming and decided to change the company name. An employee said, “How about Big Daddy?” However, the domain name had already been purchased. Parsons replied, “How about Go Daddy?” The name was available, so he bought it.[7] Parsons said the company stuck with the name because it made people smile and remember it.[7]
The company changed its name branding from “Go Daddy”[8] to “GoDaddy” in February 2006.[9]
Company growth[edit]
In 2001, soon after Network Solutions was no longer the only place to register a domain, GoDaddy was approximately the same size as competitors Dotster and eNom.[10]
In April 2005, GoDaddy became the largest ICANN-accredited registrar on the Internet.[11] They also surpassed Network Solutions in domain names registered.
In July 2012, GoDaddy announced it would acquire Outright for an undisclosed amount.[12]
In August 2013, GoDaddy announced it would acquire Locu for $70 million.[13]
In September 2013, GoDaddy acquired domain marketplace Afternic from NameMedia. GoDaddy will also acquire domain parking service SmartName and business name generator NameFind.[14]
On October 15, 2013, GoDaddy acquired web hosting service provider Media Temple. In a newsletter sent to its customers, Media Temple said that they “will continue operating as an independent and autonomous company.”[15]
In July 2014, GoDaddy acquired Canary, a small Cambridge-based smart calendar service.[16]
On August 20, 2014, GoDaddy acquired Mad Mimi, a Brooklyn-based email marketing service.[17]
In April 2015, GoDaddy acquired Elto, “a San Francisco-based startup which had been offering a marketplace that helped connect business owners and other non-technical people to web developers who could help them establish and improve their web presence.” [18]
In April 2015 and November 2015, GoDaddy acquired the domain portfolios of Marchex and Worldwide Media respectively.
On May 17, 2016, GoDaddy acquired FreedomVoice for $42 million in cash. FreedomVoice is a provider of cloud-based VoIP phone systems across the United States
