  1. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…… but what if the website isnt on a server currently…… and its just been handed to me as a website export?????? hmmmm???

  2. Great video! literally been searching for this solution all day. Thanks! For those of you who are having trouble finding the ftp login, it will be on your host.

  3. I want to take my current website and host it on my mac, then rebrand it and clone it to another fresh website. Will this help me do that?

  4. All goes well until you go to the url to type in for the duplicator. What is the URL you are going to? I can do nothing from here..

  5. Hello Jackson, Thanks I was able to successfully migrate my site from one domain to another domain and hosting. I face similar problem with user name and password, So i have created a new database in CPanel, Created Userid and Password. Once that was done, I used option "Continue and Remove existing data" on Duplicator (which clear data from the newly created Database) and the migration was successfull and easy.

  6. Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on moving a free WordPress to Namecheap or is this the same procedure in the Duplicator plugin for this also? Hosting is what I am interested in. Thanks in advance

  7. This is too confusing! I just bought a hostgator plan, i only have special ftp accounts and doesn't let me create a new account, i don't remember setting up a password either, please do a step by step tut =/

  8. but the question is that some web hosting site doesn't allow one to use those plug ins for security or performance concerns…

  9. 5:47 Major step skipped. I don't know where filezilla transferred the files I uploaded. And you just completely skipped that step for me. Wasted five minutes of my life.

  10. When you started typing in the URL area I left to go download All-in-One WP Migration. Typing info you know that we do not know does not help.

  11. I created website on WordPress without database… I used woocoomerce theme… So now how I will host my website… Live site need the details of database… Please help me.

  12. This is not helpful to me. This involves so many steps, and I am likely to get confused in the process or just make a mistake and end up migrating the website incorrectly to my hosting site. I will try the All-in-One WP Migration plugin being suggested below.

  13. Thanks Jakson, it worked! But, I made one mistake. I wanted to copy a WP site on the same server and I did it. Now when open the original WP site, 404 File not find happen. Is it possible to fix it? I wanted to create two identical WP sites on the server.

  14. so why do you think i know where the ftp address is and all that? how useless. if you're going to make a tutorial you make a comprehensive one with every step, not ASSUMING we know one thing or another. useless.

  15. Regarding the "local host" database input, always check with your Service Provider. I left it as "local host" and could have saved a lot of time troubleshooting should I checked first. Otherwise, thanks for the video mate.
