  1. 100s of people come to me each year with a new GoDaddy domain name but aren't sure the steps necessary to build a website on it. So I made this video to help you! It's exactly how I make a website with GoDaddy every time …Enjoy!

  2. Just for the record: for me took overnight before the domain stopped showing a 404 Error message: something between 6 and 12 hours.

  3. Wait wait…I just got to the part where you are putting in your nameserver info from hostgator and my setup is different than yours. Did godaddy change their website???

  4. Thanks for a great tutorial. I recommend you disable system sound so a person does not have to listen to the keyboard strokes, the noise of which can be quite annoying.

  5. So you have to pay to use wordpress? I thought it was supposed to be free? I want to just use godaddy for everything, and they want to charge me one more time just to get started building the site. How much money do they want??

  6. Hi Greg. Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. It's my first time creating a website and I've learned so much with your help. Can you help me with getting my featured image to appear on my page? I selected it and it shows at the bottom of my edit screen but when I update, it's not showing. I don't have the catchbase option as you did at the bottom of my screen.

  7. Hi Greg. Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. It's my first time creating a website and I've learned so much with your help. 8. Is there any plugin to adjust the widths of the website? I want to fully customize sidebar widths, content widths (like google blog). Can you please help me?

  9. Greg- I am so impressed with this video and I do think you could make money with your voice. I built my website along with you, and it was an awesome experience. The only thing that I had trouble with is that the facebook plug-in code did not bring forward the banner – just the name of my facebook page in blue. I think I must be missing a key line, but I was not able to read the code that you pasted in the widget on your video. Here is the code I got from the facebook plug-in. It must have an error in it somewhere. Can you help me correct it to show the banner and posts? <div class="fb-page" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/Bri-Adams-Art-130348727489049/" data-tabs="timeline, events" data-width="380" data-height="500" data-small-header="false" data-adapt-container-width="true" data-hide-cover="false" data-show-facepile="false" data-show-posts="true"></div><a href="https://www.facebook.com/Bri-Adams-Art-130348727489049/">Bri Adams Art</a></blockquote></div>

  10. Hey Greg when I click on the "featured slider" icon to change the factory home page slider, I only get the "enable slider" on drop down menu. All of the other drop down menus are not there. Am I missing a step? Thanks for the video!!

  11. Hi Greg, thank for this one. One question here, which is better godaddy, blue host or hostgator? Thanks in advance.

  12. Okay, you helped me SO MUCH! went ahead and went with the catch base "elegant pink" …so with that one it has on their already the contact me about me and what not which I had already filled out, My question now is can I change the format of it like the one post thatI do have so far is only in the left corner is their anyway to center it or to see how it would look like once I add more content?

  13. You said we were building a website with GoDaddy. I've followed your instructions and bought a website with GoDaddy, and now we're at 17 minutes, and you tell me I've got to go off and purchase services at Host Gator as well. This should have been discussed within the first couple of minutes of the video. I have no intention of purchasing services from two different companies when I can get everything I need at GoDaddy, especially when Host Gator doesn't give you an affordable monthly rate. Why did you not make this clear? This sucks.

  14. Can you please clarify my doubts?
    1. If I follow your procedure, Can I monetize my website with Google Adsense?
    2. If I want to add SSL certificate (to secure my site), where should I buy it, either from GoDaddy or HostGator? and how to install SSL certificate on my website? Please reply me.

  15. Greg, how can i add a login or register page so only individuals that have been approved can sign up and add comments to the website? and how do i protect the website from spammed from registration, ect?
