I’ve been a bluehost user for over a year now and in this bluehost review I wanted to share the top 6 things I believe to be very important when making a decision to buy. #1 Bluhost is offering Low Prices
Bluehost is offering plans that start at just $2.95 a month. These plans also include a free domain name and an SSL certificate for free. This means you get everything you need to host your website for 1 year by paying $60. It’s worth nothing that the $2.95 price that bluehost is advertising only applies to your first term purchase. When it’s time to renew your plan the price will spike up to $7.99. So, to get the biggest possible savings on your bluehost plans you should consider buying for the longest period of time.
While doing this bluehost review I’ve wanted to do as many tests as possible.
#2 Expect Downtime
For my stability test I’ve used UptimeRobot to monitor how often my website goes down. I’ve monitored my bluehost website for 30 days. My website was offline for about 34mins, I gotta admit this is a bit much, I wasn’t expecting this downtime but all of it happened during 1 day. So, these kind of performance hiccups can be written off as anomalies in most cases. Still, expect your website to have some downtime if you choose bluehost. Ofcourse, this happens with every single web hosting provider and it’s hard to avoid.
#3 Fast Loading Speed
While preparing for my bluehost review 2019 I also tested the loading speed capabilities of bluehost. And the results were surprisingly fast. Bluehost hosting loaded my website in just 0.7 seconds. That’s actually on par with the more expensive options like InMotion hosting, SiteGround and A2hosting.
What these bluehost review performance tests show – if you’re choosing bluehost you’ll get a great price, fast loading speed, but sacrifice hosting stability.
#4 WordPress Optimizations
Bluehost hosting has basically built their whole brand around WordPress hosting. They’re the #1 recommended provider by WordPress themselves. As my bluehost review showcased it’s incredibly simple to create a WordPress based website with bluehost. They have 1 click automatic installers and a dashboard that navigates you through the WordPress installation process – step by step.
#5 No Monthly Plans
As my bluehost review shows bluehost does not offer ANY monthly plans. Even though their prices are advertised monthly. The shortest period of time you can buy a Bluehost plan for is 1 year.
#6 No Free Website Transfers
Bluehost will not transfer your existing website to their web servers for free. Every website you want transferred will cost you $150.
