Quick Overview of our Dreamhost Review:
DreamHost is recognized to be the best domain name registrar and web hosting provider. They are under the business group called New Dream Network that is located in Los Angeles, founded by Dallas Bethune, Josh Jones, Sage Weil and Michael Rodriguez in 1996.
I decided to write down a detailed and reasonable DreamHost review as I have already tried using it to some of my websites. It would be great if I will share my views about this webhosting brand.
DreamHost is very confident to host over 1.5 million websites, applications and blogs. They also provide 24/7 real time support.
Every year, the company never fails to accept an award. It only proves that there are a lot of big companies and individuals that continually trust and support the services of DreamHost.
• In September 2005 – DreamHost was awarded as the 7th Fastest Growing Company
• In February 2006 – they was awarded as the 7th Best Web Hosting Company
• From 2011- 2014 The Company has consistently received an award as the best affordable web hosting company.
Review of Dreamhost’s Control Panel
DreamHost has an amazing control panel that allows users to manage and control hosting services such as e-mail, domain registrations, billing and support, databases and other services. The cPanel is very easy to navigate.
DreamHost claims that their web hosting services comes with a 100 percent uptime guarantee. So, I decided to make a random site test to see if they do have that incredible speed. The results were still good even it didn’t reach the 100 percent uptime speed.
Money Back Guarantee
Dreamhost has an incredible money-back guarantee procedure. According to the company’s terms of service, you can withdraw or cancel your shared Web Hosting service and other plans within 97 days of the initial set-up and have the money refunded in full. Other web hosting companies offer 45 to 60 days money back. This is one of the main reasons we chose to do this review of Dreamhost – There are just so many positive factors.
DreamHost’s support can be contacted through live chat, and e-mail service. They are also ready to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t have a phone number. You need to pay an additional $9.95 for 3 call-backs a month which I think are unnecessary.
• Affordable Web Hosting plans
• Unlimited data transfers per month
• The company has its own greenhouse gas emissions.
• Loads of security features
• Broad domain-management features
• Generous money-back guarantee
• Exciting Cloud storage plans.
• Frequent Downtime
• The company’s customer support team is friendly but ineffective and slow
• They have no site builder
• Preliminary setup of SSL is slow
• No Windows servers available
DreamHost’s overall unlimited services such as storage, bandwidth and shared web hosting plans are perfect for people who run multiple websites. However, their customer service needs more improvement. They should hire agents who have the capability to resolve issues quickly and smartly. Hopefully, you’ll learn something from this DreamHost review that I prepared.
